The morning mist still hugged the ground as we arrived in the park. Peak viewing season with more colours still on the trees than ever I could remember. Our first stop was the Beaver Pond on the other side of the park - a short but scenic hike to warm up for a full schedule ahead.
I brought my flash this time in hopes of lightening the shadows on the girls. Unfortunately it wasn't until this hike was almost over when I realized I had inadvertently changed the setting while I was hiking. On subsequent hikes I was able to light them up well - when I remembered.
At one point in the hike we passed over a boardwalk in an open meadow. The areas in the shadows were covered with frost. The temperature was brisk, but comfortable - perfect for hiking.
